२०२३ स्थानीय निर्वाचनमा उनले उप महापौर पदको लागि ६८,६१२ मतहरु प्राप्त गरी नेपाल कम्युनिष्ट पार्टी (एकम) को प्रतिनिधित्व गरेकी थिइन । यो निर्वाचन १२ मे २०२२ मा सम्पन्न भएको थियो ।

वर्तमान मा उनको रेटिंग ०.०० रहेको छ र उनको बारे कुनै विवाद प्रकाश नहुने छ । उनको राजनीतिक यात्रा २०२३ मा नेपाल कम्युनिष्ट पार्टी (एकम) को सदस्य बनेको थियो । हालसम्म उनको कुनै उल्लेखनीय उपलब्धि वा माइलस्टोन नहुने छ । तर उनको उप महापौर पदमा निर्वाचित हुने उनको र उनको पार्टिको लागि महत्वपूर्ण उपलब्धि हो ।

सुनिता डोंगोल नेपाली राजनीतिज्ञ हुन् र हाल काठमाण्डौ महानगर पालिकाकी उप महापौर हुन् । जन्म २६ जुलाई १९९४ मा भएको हो र नेपाली कांग्रेस (एनसी) को सदस्य पनि हुन् तर नेपाल कम्युनिष्ट पार्टी (एकम) को उम्मेदवार बनेर निर्वाचन जित्नुभएकी थिइन ।

डोंगोलको राजनीतिक यात्रा उनको sớm बिस मा सुरु भएको थियो र पार्टी रैंकमा छिट्टै उकास भएकी थिइन् । २०२२ स्थानीय निर्वाचनमा उनले काठमाण्डौ महानगर पालिकाबाट चुनाव लडी ६८,६१२ मतहरु प्राप्त गरी आफ्नो नजिकको प्रतिद्वन्द्वीलाई पराजित गरेकी थिइन् ।

काठमाडौंकी उप महापौरको रुपमा उनको प्रमुख फोकस इन्फ्रास्ट्रक्चर विकास, कचरा प्रबंधन, र काठमाडौंका नागरिकहरुको जीवन स्तर सुधार गर्ने मा छ । उनको कार्यकालको बेला काठमाण्डौ महानगर पालिकाले नयाँ कचरा प्रबंधन प्रणाली लागु गरेको छ र थुप्रै प्रमुख सडकहरुको जीर्णोद्धार गरेको छ ।

डोंगोलले आफ्नो काममा अपना कटिबद्धता गरेकी छिन् र उनको लोकप्रियता सधै बढ्दै छ । उनको रेटिंग उच्च रहेको छ र उनलाई एक युवा र गतिशील नेता मानिन्छ जसले काठमाडौंको लागि सकारात्मक परिवर्तन ल्याउन सक्छ ।

तर उनको लघु कार्यकालको बावजूद डोंगोलले केही विवादहरुको सामना गरेकी छिन् जस्तै कोष प्रबंधनमा दुर्व्यवहार र ठेकेदारी प्रदान मा पक्षपातका आरोपहरु समावेश छन् । तर उनले स्वीकार गरेका छन् र पारदर्शिता र जवाबदेहिता मा आफ्नो_commitmentको सुरक्षा गरेकी छिन् ।

चुनावको हिसाबले डोंगोलले उल्लेखनीय ट्रयाक राखेकी छन् जस्तै चुनाव जीत्ने मा महत्वपूर्ण जीत नेपाल कम्युनिष्ट पार्टी (एकम) का लागि मानिन्छ जसले नेपालको राजनीतिक परिदृश्यमा आफ्नो पुनर्स्थापना गर्न खोजेको छ ।
